Why St. John's Waltz?

Each day at St. John's we affirm your child as a son or daughter of our God through devotions, prayer, chapel, and the study of the Christian faith.

God's Holy Word breathes in every facet of our curriculum at St. John's. Your child will harness their God-given talents as God's child throughout our whole curriculum. Our students are taught to think critically through a Christian lens to help and be of service to their peers and those they will work with in the future.

Character Education

Our students are instilled with the virtue of God's Law. We are to love God and love our neighbors as ourselves. Since these two Commandments summarize God's Law, we give our students many opportunities to help hone their character as maturing Christians while learning and developing a heart for servant leadership.

Our parents appreciate that the campus is locked during the school day and that all visitors are greeted personally by our staff. We intentionally make contact with everyone that comes to the door (including delivery drivers!) to insure your children are always supervised and safe.

One thing that you notice about St. John's is how everyone knows each other. Whether you are dropping your child off in the morning, participating in chapel, or just dropping off a forgotton lunch, everyone here will know you and see how you are doing. We don't only want to make sure we are doing everything we can for your child, but we are also here to serve your entire family.

Academic Excellence

Our program at St. John's contains the same high quality education from preschool through eighth grade. Our curriculum adheres to the state grade level content expectations of the Michigan Benchmarks, the Common Core Standards, and the LC-MS Michigan District Integrating the Faith guidelines. Each and every student here is loved by Christ. Because this is a Biblical truth, our teachers here strive to surround each student with the love of Christ. This enables our teachers to differentiate their methods to give individual attention to every student who walks into the classroom.
